Located in the heart of Norway's Hardangerfjord region, Norheimsund is a picturesque township located along the National tourist road of Hardanger and is the first township by the fjord coming from Bergen. Highlights of Norheimsund include the stunning Steinsdalsfossen waterfall, fjord hiking, scenic fjord cruises, and the Hardanger Maritime Museum. Here you can enjoy hiking in mountain plateaus, lovely valleys, fjordside viewpoint and panoramic fjord peaks.
Norheimsund is easily reacable by public transport from either Bergen city or Voss town (both 85 minutes by bus). It is situated close to the townships of Øystese (10 minutes by bus) where you can find Hardanger Aqua centre, Hardangerbadet, Kabuso Art centre and Spildegarden cider farm. Other fjord towns or villages like Odda (ferry crossing), Eidfjord, UIvik and Kinsarvik is all reachable by car around 1 hour. The journeys themselves is senic!
