RIB fjord safaris

From our bases in Norheimsund and Øystese we conduct RIB safari boat tours to the beautiful Hardangerfjord branch Fyksesund which is the narrowest section of the whole fjord. During the snow melting period and on rainy days this branch offers several stunning up-close waterfalls.

The RIB boat tours from our base in Ulvik mainly goes to the branches of Osafjord, Eidfjord and Simadalsfjord. These branches offers magical fjord scenery surrounded by towering mountains.

We also offer private RIB safaris and charter from all available hotels and along the Hardangerfjord.

What is a RIB?
A RIB, or rigid inflatable boat, is a remarkably stable vessel that combines a tough, rigid hull with inflatable tubes. This hybrid design delivers a smooth, comfortable ride in a wide range of sea conditions—perfect for families, photographers, wildlife enthusiasts, or anyone seeking an unforgettable way to explore the Hardangerfjord. Our boats feature 12 padded saddle seats, and with 600 horsepower under the hood, you can soar across the water at speeds up to 50 knots, wind in your hair and a smile on your face.

Yet our RIB tours offer more than just heart-pounding excitement. They open the door to Hardangerfjord’s hidden gems—places you can’t reach by land. Glide past secluded beaches, slip into remote coves, and see local marine life up close. It’s a thrilling, immersive journey that showcases the breathtaking beauty of this iconic Norwegian fjord.
