Explore the Hardangerfjord with local captains and guides. From year-round RIB safaris, to winter fjord floating and summer guided mountain activities. Hardangerfjord Adventure operates from three waterfront bases:
Norheimsund- our year-round main base, around 80 minutes from Bergen
Øystese – our seasonal base, around 85 minutes from Bergen
Ulvik – our seasonal base in the inner Hardangerfjord, around 50 minutes from Voss
From Norheimsund and Øystese, our RIB safaris travel towards Fyksesund and the roadless hamlet of Botnen. From Ulvik, the routes lead into Osafjord and other parts of the inner Hardangerfjord.
RIB safaris depart from Norheimsund throughout the year, with additional departures from Øystese and Ulvik from May to September. Guided hikes are available in the warmer months, ranging from short viewpoint walks to more demanding mountain routes.
Winter:
From Norheimsund, you can join a 75-minute RIB safari or experience the fjord at water level during a guided fjord floating session. Snowshoeing is normally offered from January to March and ski touring from February to April.
Our main base is atThon Hotel Sandven, Kaien 28, in Norheimsund. This is the meeting point for our year-round RIB safaris and most of our fjord floating, hiking, snowshoeing and ski touring experiences.
From May to September, we also operate RIB safaris from Hardangerfjord Hotel in ØysteseandBrakanes Hotel in Ulvik.
