Boat transport to/from the roadless hamlet Botnen

30 minutes

Easy

Private boat transport by RIB to or from the roadless hamlet Botnen in Fyksesund, which is a good starting point for mountain treks in the mounatin of Kvam and Bergsdalen.

The hamlet Botnen at the end of the Fyksesund fjord is a great place to start both longer day hikes or a cabin-to-cabin treks in Hardanger!

Directly from Botnen you reach DNT cabins such as Breidablikk, Vending, Kiellandbu or Torfinnsheim. You can also go further to the cabins Gullhorgabu, Høgabu, Nansenbu and Rosethytta. Find out more about the various DNT cabins.

You can also go on longer day hikes to/from Botnen from/to Hamlagrøosen, Hodnaberg, Fitjadalen and Porsmyr. A day trek to the spectacular cabin Kiellandbu is also a memorable trip.

Botnen can be worth a day's visit in itself! Here lies one of the most authentic cultural landscapes in Hardanger, as it was at the end of the 19th century. There was a vibrant local community here in this roadless hamlet! Here you can walk along the local gravel road, go for a walk to the local viewpoint "Furehaugen" or just enjoy the day on the local beach.

We provide boat transport with RIB to/from Botnen through the magical fjord branch Fyksesund. Departure from/to Øystese, Norheimsund and Jondal.

It also possible to be transport via one of our scheduled fjord safaris from Norheimsund/Øystese which  passes Botnen.
